Christmas Workshop
Celebrate the Magic of Christmas at the Museum!
The museum invites children to join a creative workshop to make their own Christmas stockings!
Guided by the museum team, little artists will be able to design, decorate, and personalize their very own stocking to proudly hang on Christmas Eve.
The tradition of Christmas stockings comes from an old legend about Saint Nicholas. It is said that he secretly dropped gold coins into the stockings of three poor girls drying by the fireplace. Since then, children hang their stockings on Christmas Eve, hoping that Santa Claus will fill them with sweets and small gifts. Today, stockings remain a warm and beloved symbol of the holiday season.
