- Les Dés d'Or (1983, 1988) were awarded to Marc Bohan and presented to the public for the first time.
- Iconic dresses from the Maison Dior Héritage and the private collection of Princess Grace of Monaco, featuring immersive scenography by Alisson Rodrigues and sets designed by Benoit Duvergé.
Marc Bohan was not only immensely talented but also deeply attached to Châtillon-sur-Seine, the town he adopted as his own. In 1987, he purchased a mansion there, which was formerly a convent dating back to 1630. His frequent walks through the narrow streets of the city and his affection for the surrounding countryside reflect a strong bond with the region, a sentiment shared by the local residents.
Marc Bohan has never ceased to draw on the artistic avant-garde to nourish his approach to clothing. His collections reflected a fluid modernity, while subtly incorporating references to contemporary trends.
The public will soon have the opportunity to discover the Dés d'Or, the haute couture equivalent of the Oscars, along with the remarkable collaboration between Marc Bohan and Princess Grace of Monaco. The haute couture dresses, scarves, and accessories on loan from Maison Dior Héritage Paris pay homage to Marc Bohan's creative brilliance, particularly highlighting the iconic collections from the 1960s and 1970s.
In 1983-1984, Princess Stéphanie had the incredible opportunity to complete a styling internship at Christian Dior Couture, under the guidance of Marc Bohan. This experience profoundly shaped her career and established a lasting connection with the fashion world. Today, she lends her High Patronage to the exhibition, enhancing the event with a regal presence and international influence that make it even more exceptional.
The exhibition features prestigious collections from Dior Héritage, Dior Parfums, the Palais Princier de Monaco, the Cinémathèque française, and the Cité des Présents of Château-Chinon. It showcases the refined artistry of Marc Bohan, who has seamlessly merged the legacy of Christian Dior with his own contemporary and accessible vision of haute couture.
This exhibition emerged from a shared vision among several individuals: Jérémie Brigand, the President of the Communauté de Communes du Pays Châtillonnais; Cécile Zicot, the museum director; and Marie-Anne, the daughter of Marc Bohan.
