Atelier : Création de fresques ukrainiennes Petrykivka
Every Wednesday in November, Mariia Matokhniuk will be coming to the museum to run a workshop on creating a Ukrainian fresco using Petrykivka painting techniques.
Requiem pour un smartphone
On Sunday 10 November 2024 at 6pm, the Musée du Pays Châtillonnais - Trésor de Vix, will be hosting the show ‘Requiem pour un smartphone’ by Compagnie Bulles de Zinc, directed and performed by Emmanuel Lambert.

As part of the Festival des Solidarités, the museum is staging a new temporary exhibition entitled ‘L'art de vie : Rencontres entre deux pays’ from 1 to 30 November 2024. A cross-portrait between two countries, Ukraine and Burkina Faso, between two associations, VINCA and Burkina-Solidarité, and between two artists, Mariia MATHOKNIUK and Anouck MICHEL.

“I've always been attracted to art and drawing. I was able to pick up the pencil again at the age of 42 thanks to my teacher Isabel Maîna, a sketchbook artist and animal draughtswoman, with whom I also took part in numerous lquick sketch and travel diary, outdoors, in museums and zoos.

Mariia Matokhniuk
Masha Klepko Matokhniuk was born in 1978 in Vinnytsia, Ukraine. She lives and works in Châtillon-sur-Seine. Since 2018, thanks to her icon teacher Marie Aveline, Masha has devoted herself to painting through Orthodox icon classes.
She is an accomplished artist who works with oil and acrylic paint on canvas and has a background in engineering.
